Every day I catch a headline about “how to live your best life” or a sound bite with “the only parenting strategy you’ll ever need” – only to see it contradicted by something new the next day. It’s overwhelming to receive so many messages and decipher what is worthy of our attention.

That’s why I’m so thankful for the ministry of Focus on the Family Canada. In a culture where truth is increasingly seen as subjective and changing, families across the country have access to countless free resources grounded in God’s unchanging Word.

I’m excited to tell you about two new video series – both of which are free to you!

Discovering the Truth About My Identity
In this seven-part video series, Jackie Hill Perry (bestselling author of Gay Girl, Good God: The Story of Who I Was and Who God Has Always Been) shares her story of finding wholeness in the midst of gender confusion, offering viewers practical help for engaging with friends, families, loved ones and neighbours on the topic of gender and sexuality.

Creating Healthy Beginnings for Young Children
Over the last few decades, we’ve learned how parents can lay a foundation that will profoundly boost their child’s emotional well-being both now and lasting into their future. In this six-part video series, Focus on the Family Canada counsellor Luke Campbell explains how you can adjust your parenting to ensure that you are intentionally nurturing the emotional wellness your child needs.

P.S. I know these topics are difficult to work through, so I want to remind you of our free one-time phone counselling consultations. Our team of in-house counsellors is ready to talk with you over the phone about anything you may be walking through right now. If you need more support, we can also refer you to a counsellor in your area who can continue to come alongside you.
