A Focus Series

Books, stories and authors

Exploring the world of books, language and literature, as well as the men and women who create and shape them
Inside this Series

Whether we read for information or pleasure, lying on the beach or curled up in our favourite chair, books play an integral role in most of our lives. Our books educate and entertain us, shaping our beliefs and our understanding of the world. Through them, we encounter the minds and personalities of their authors, and we discover stories and ideas both familiar and strange.

Books and stories are a gift to us from our God, who gave us the capacity to create and enjoy them, and has revealed himself to us through his written Word. The following articles explore the work and impact of a selection of writers, as well as offering some suggestions for further reading.
