Netflix’s TV show 13 Reasons Why is a mega-hit with teens, but a major concern for parents.

Now in season two, the show graphically portrays frightening issues today’s teens are dealing with – issues that include bullying, self-injury, sexting, rape and suicide.

For some teen viewers the show will be mere entertainment. For other teens, however, the show may actually prove harmful, because it offers very little help – or hope – to youth struggling with the same issues highlighted in the show.

That’s why we’re providing this series of six podcasts – a series of interviews with counsellors on staff with Focus on the Family U.S.

If your teen is facing with any of the issues above, you’ll find the discussions helpful as you guide your teen.

In addition to the podcasts, you may also be interested in our parent’s discussion guide found here: Focusonthefamily.ca/13reasons.
