Fundraising principles
We believe that God joins the existing, God-given passions and convictions of Canadians with the work of Focus on the Family Canada. Those who give to our ministry are not simply “donors,” but participants with us in what God is doing in the lives of Canadian families.
We are stewards of all the resources God entrusts to us, and we are accountable to our ministry partners, and to God, for how we use all that we receive. That is why we are committed to keeping our donors informed of our progress through regular reporting and why we are members of the Canadian Council of Christian Charities (CCCC), an independent standards setting organization. Focus on the Family Canada is reaccredited every year by the CCCC and closely adheres to the CCCC Standards of Organizational Integrity and Accountability (please visit Cccc.org for more information).
The majority of our annual operating budget sustains our essential services and programs. Each year, we strive to increase our outreach to families through a number of priority projects – either by expanding our existing projects or creating new projects altogether. Each restricted contribution designated toward these projects will be used for the purpose for which it was given with the understanding that when the need for such a project has been met or cannot be completed for any reason determined by the Board, the remaining restricted contributions designated for the project will be used where needed most.
